TAPA certification

The TAPA certification (Transport Asset Protection Association) aims to reduce the risk of cargo loss as much as possible. With a TAPA certification you can demonstrate that you are aware of the security risks and that all necessary measures are taken to manage the risks. Moreover, it is the way to distinguish yourself from competitors. A TAPA certificate ensures demonstrable quality.

We distinguish the following TAPA certification:

  • TAPA tsr (trucking security requirements) 1, 2 or 3.
  • TAPA fsr (facility security requirements) A, B or C.
  • TAPA tsr lsp.
  • Tacss.

The TAPA certifications TSR and FSR have three levels. Each with increasingly strict requirements. Octant supports companies in obtaining the TAPA certificate for both TAPA tsr and TAPA fsr, at all three levels, as well as the TAPA tsr lsp and Tacss.

TAPA certification requirements

To comply with the TAPA standard, there must be a structured organization. Tapa sets requirements for the organization, both on paper and in the daily process. In addition, Tapa sets requirements for various other aspects in the organization, such as:

  • Site and warehouse security and/or fleet security.
  • Means of communication.
  • Staff training and awareness.
  • Agreements with customers.
  • Ensuring the TAPA standard.
