ISO 45001

Achieving ISO 45001 certification? Essential! Safe and healthy working conditions are essential to the proper functioning of a company. As a QHSE professional, your job is to ensure safety and health within your company. To manage that mission, and to chart your progress, the ISO 45001 standard exists.

What is NEN ISO 45001:2018?

ISO 45001:2018 is an internationally recognised certificate that fully replaces OHSAS 18001 since March 2021. This standard has been developed for organisations that:

  • want to implement a Health and Safety at Work (H&S) policy;
  • want to implement a Safety management system;
  • pursue a systematic approach to G&S on the shop floor that leads to continuous improvement;
  • achieve control of safety and health risks;
  • want to create good working conditions tailored to the risks in the workplace;
  • want lower absenteeism rates and no accidents in the workplace.

Obtaining ISO 45001 certification and advice

An ISO 45001 certification helps prevent accidents and improve the Healthy and Safe Working (H&S) processes. With an ISO 45001-certified management system, an organisation demonstrates that all the requirements of the standard are met and that safety and safe and healthy working are number one. The presence of an ISO 45001 certificate can also be of great added value when procuring or tendering for certain services.
